In-Person Worship Protocols
Before arrival to worship at Messiah Lutheran Church, please self-screen for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Symptoms include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headaches, new loss of taste or smell, sore or dry throat, nausea or vomiting, congestion or running nose (not related to seasonal allergies) or diarrhea. If you or a member of your household are experiencing these symptoms, please do not attend worship.
Before arrival to worship at Messiah Lutheran Church, please take your temperature.
Any individual with a temperature of 100.4°F or higher will not be permitted to attend the service.
Any individual or household member who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or with symptoms of COVID-19 (including a fever at or above 100.4°F) may not attend the worship service until quarantine measures are completed. For more information click here.
All participants are required to wear a mask or face covering over their mouth and nose for the entire service. Masks with valves, gators, and face shields are not acceptable masks. One person addressing the congregation may do so without a face covering and must stand a minimum of 6 feet from the congregation, more so if raising their voice or singing.
Please enter through the main doors under the awning. The doors will remain open for participants so that no door handles will need to be touched. All other access points will be closed.
Participants will need to check in with a designated check in person. A log of attendees will be kept for two weeks.
Participants must adhere to 6 foot physical distancing. Members of the same household may be seated together as a single unit. Floors and pews will be marked for seating so that 6 foot physical distancing can be maintained.
At the end of the worship service, each family unit will be ushered out one at a time, dismissing from the back to the front of the room.
Restrooms will be limited to one person/household at a time. Please use the In Use/Vacant signs outside of the restrooms. Individuals waiting to use the restroom must maintain at least 6 feet of distance between each person.
Soap and running water for frequent hand washing are available in each of the restrooms. Alcohol-based (at least 60% ethanol) hand sanitizers will also be available in multiple locations throughout the building.
Tissues and trash cans will be available throughout the building.
No food or drink will be served. Individual pre-packaged communion will be available in the pews.
Windows will be open to accommodate greater air flow. Please dress accordingly.
